Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

(b) On October 15, 2021, the Board of Directors of 3M Company appointed Eric D. Hammes as Executive Vice President and Chief Country Governance & Services Officer, effective November 1, 2021. Mr. Hammes has served as 3M’s Group President, Enterprise Operations, since January 2020. Mr. Hammes is one of the named executive officers included in 3M’s 2021 proxy statement filed on March 24, 2021.
